FIND JOY PT
Joy Waugh has been a holistic physical therapist for over 34 years. Joy works with all ages, employing multiple modalities in her total body approach to healing that include craniosacral therapy, myofascial relase, visceral mobilization, somato-emotional release and energy healing techniques.
Stretching, yoga, and breath work allow the body to maintain releases from the individual sessions with Joy. Strengthening exercises help stabilize the body structure, improving posture, and in turn decreasing the bodies propensity for further injury.
Joy empowers others to access their own healing potential through group classes which incorporate self-inquiry, meditation, and energy healing techniques.
Joy can work with you in person, or remotely, depending on your needs and location. Joy teaches individuals to listen deeply to their body’s inner voice during sessions, allowing the body to unwind and release restrictions in a safe, healing environment of love.
What People Are Saying
“Joy Waugh has a gift of healing touch. Her knowledge and abilities are superb— she can coax out pain and tightness in the body with a gentle touch. I highly recommend her for specific pain as well as general well-being. Her therapy seems to be the glue that holds my health together.”

“My experience with Joy as a PT is nothing short of miraculous, but true! I was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome compounded by nerve damage in my elbow. In Dec. 2018, I had scheduled for two corrective surgeries for Jan. 2019. In the interim, I was trying to sleep in a chair, no longer able to sleep in my bed due to pain. At the suggestion of a family member I scheduled time with Joy. After a single sessions where she had worked on my shoulder area and arm, she sent me home saying I may be uncomfortable for a day or two. However she did feel the treatment would be helpful. Helpful is an understatement. I slept through the night for the first time in months. In my bed not in a chair! My pain ceased as did the almost crippling issues with my hand. Two years later, no surgeries and complete freedom and use of my hand and arm. And no pain! Bless you Joy!”

“I was an active yoga instructor, biker and lover of movement and the outdoors, living in Colorado, when out of nowhere I was diagnosed with ALS at age 35. I moved to Massachusetts to be with my family. Over the last two years, I lost the ability to move my body. Joy has saved me in so many ways. She blends yoga movements and ideology with cranio sacral energy work, fascia relief, stretching, massage, visualization and love together to create a physical and spiritual experience, that makes me feel as if I’d practiced on my own! I am so grateful for her expertise, knowledge and friendship!”
